Most hammers on the market have a fixed weight, so several hammers are often kept for different tasks. Sar Jane has a movable metal slider on the handle. The slider is turned counterclockwise to unlock, moved along the handle, and then turned clockwise to lock again. With the slider held low on the handle, the head feels lighter and precise control is easier. With the slider moved up to the head, the impact force increases.
