Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design The Board Skateboard by CHEN,CHIA-WEI The Board is a folding skateboard designed for easy transport and storage. The deck is made from 57 interlocking pivot hinges. By folding the hinges in one direction or the other, the classic cruiser shape is transformed into a perfect circle. In the circular form, The Board fits into a backpack and can be kept in narrow spaces or displayed as a decorative object at home. Aluminum, iron and plastic are used in the construction. The transformation process gives the design a clear visual appeal.
