The form is inspired by the pineapple fruit, whose rhythmic outer scales suggest the arrangement of the pins. The package measures 80 by 80 by 80 millimetres, so it fits in a hand, a pocket or a bag. It is made from recyclable and biodegradable ground cardboard and printed by flexography, which replaces the common plastic case. When opened, the package presents an array of pins on each inner face and can be turned inside out for easier use. Used pins can be dropped back into the package.
