The lampshade is made of translucent acrylic with an optical grain and is joined by ultrasonic welding, so the light is spread evenly. Rotating the lampshade acts as the switch and selects a color temperature of 4200K or 3200K. A short touch of the button starts the timing mode, and a long touch keeps the light on. Gravity sensing and electronic slip rings let the shade turn without winding the wires. The design combines lighting with a reminder that time is passing.
