Scallop Leisure Chair

Furniture Design Scallop Leisure Chair by Wei Jingye / 魏靖野 Scallop is a leisure chair inspired by the shape of an open scallop shell. The curved seat and backrest are made of stainless steel plate, while the legs and armrests are formed from hot bent stainless steel wire. All parts are joined by welding. The metal surface is treated with an imitation copper corrosion finish. The backrest is perforated to improve air flow and to reduce weight. Hand sewn leather armrest covers and a cushion are added for comfort. Scallop suits reading, tea drinking and office use, indoors and outdoors.
