Furniture Design Mallarme Children Furniture by Wei Jingye / 魏靖野 Mallarme is a series of children's furniture inspired by insert toys. The parts are joined in a plug-in way, so assembly becomes a form of play. Each supporting structure is made of solid wood in its natural color, cut by machine and polished by hand. A wooden slotted structure connects the wood to parts made by 3D printing. Each printed unit includes storage space for books and toys. The contrast between solid wood and brightly colored plastic creates a childlike look. The furniture is assembled from separate parts, which eases transport.
