3D Printed Forms and Products Design Serpentinata Benjamin Pen by KAIRI EGUCHI Serpentinata Benjamin is a ballpoint pen produced with 3D printing. All parts except the refill are 3D printed. The pen is transparent when new and gradually turns yellow with use, especially when exposed to sunlight. Yellowing of plastic under ultraviolet light is usually seen as a defect in industrial products, and Serpentinata Benjamin treats the change as a positive quality. Each pen develops its own color over time, in the way that musical instruments, leather goods and wooden furniture age with their owners. The pen measures 9.5 by 9.5 by 105 millimeters including the cap.
