Tainan Embroidery Amulet

Giftware Design Tainan Embroidery Amulet by Yi-Pei Wu Tainan Embroidery is a collection of amulets and a tote bag made with machine embroidery factories in Tainan, Taiwan. Temple motifs, such as deity figures, carved pillars and old tapestries, are redrawn as modern patterns. The Dragon amulet joins a density of 40,000 stitches with printing for fine scales, while the Love amulet applies lingerie lace technology and holds incense ashes in an inner mesh pocket. The tote bag is made from circular yarn spun from leftover factory threads. The collection turns traditional amulets into everyday cultural objects.
