El_Masnad Lounge Carpet

Furniture Design El_Masnad Lounge Carpet by Sana El_Masnad is a floor seating carpet designed for living rooms. The design takes the armrest, a traditional focal point in Saudi homes, and uses it as the main element of the seating unit, while all other parts of a common seat are removed. El_Masnad keeps users close to the ground, so sitting feels playful and intuitive. The pieces have no fixed orientation and can be combined in many configurations. The foam core is shaped by five-axis hot wire milling and wrapped in stitched felt, like a rolled carpet.
