Re-leaf Tree Pool

Street Furniture Design Re-leaf Tree Pool by Wenkai Xue Re-Leaf is an ecological tree pool designed for streets and public spaces. Fallen leaves are gathered inside the semi-enclosed basin, where rain and snow compact them until they decompose. The rotted leaves act as a natural fertilizer that increases soil nutrients and supports tree growth. The semi-closed form also reduces water runoff and helps protect soil moisture. Re-Leaf is made of cast iron and consists of four identical parts, which are joined before installation around a tree. The tree pool measures 1300 by 1300 by 250 millimetres.
